Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Woonsocket, RI

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and create individualized, evidence-based behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to student needs.
• Provide ongoing training and guidance to classroom staff, teachers, and assistants, ensuring consistent implementation of behavior plans.
• Offer direct intervention and support during behavioral crises utilizing Safety-Care procedures, prioritizing proactive de-escalation and the least restrictive approaches.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and families—to promote holistic student progress.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret student data to inform continuous programming adjustments and improve outcomes.
• Engage with colleagues to plan professional development opportunities, and participate in training led by other expert disciplines.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Current BCBA certification required.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ideally within a school or educational environment.
• Strong knowledge of functional behavior assessment, behavior intervention plan development, and contemporary positive behavior supports.
• Proficiency with data collection, analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborative spirit, excellent communication skills, and commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Skilled in crisis intervention and familiar with Safety-Care procedures or similar de-escalation techniques.
