Inspire positive change and growth in students’ lives as a full-time onsite Behavior Intervention Specialist for the 2025-2026 academic year. Serving across 3-4 school sites, you’ll collaborate closely with an additional Behavior Intervention Specialist and a Special Education Administrator to support students’ behavioral and educational success within a vibrant community.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Current BCBA or licensed Special Education Teacher (Tier 3 or 4 license required for teachers)
  • Demonstrated expertise in behavior intervention and functional behavior assessments
  • Experience consulting, communicating, and collaborating within interdisciplinary school teams
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all students
  • Strong skills in positive behavior intervention strategies, de-escalation techniques, and data-informed practices
  • Adaptability and calm decision-making in crisis situations
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in school settings is preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult and implement effective positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS)
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and interpret data to inform programming decisions
  • Collaborate with staff and teams to develop and support individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Train faculty in best practices for behavioral management and proactive interventions
  • Promote safety and positive school culture through evidence-based strategies
  • Use flexible thinking and problem-solving to respond to unique student needs
  • Ensure adherence to district policies, school board regulations, and required documentation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education
