Step into a rewarding, contract-based opportunity supporting students’ growth as a uniquely split-role Special Education Teacher and Behavior Intervention Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time role provides variety and impact, with morning responsibilities in a high school setting and afternoons focused on behavioral intervention at the elementary level. - Experience in special education and behavior intervention
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Strong communication and consultative skills
- Skilled in the development and implementation of behavioral support plans
- Resume and current MN licensure must be provided for consideration
Responsibilities:
- Split each day between teaching high school students and serving as an elementary Behavior Intervention Specialist
- As a BIS, support teachers in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, consulting with staff rather than carrying your own student caseload
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction to high school students, adapting as needed to meet diverse learners' needs
- Collaborate with educational teams to monitor and promote student progress
- Use data-driven approaches to guide behavioral and academic strategies
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
