Behavioral Specialist in School Setting | Middletown, Delaware

This position offers an opportunity to support K-12 students as a Behavior Specialist in a school setting located in Middletown, Delaware. The role is a contracted assignment for the current school year (CSY), focusing on implementing behavioral interventions that promote positive student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify student needs
• Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Monitor and document progress with data collection and analysis
• Provide training and guidance to school staff on behavior management strategies
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student challenges

Qualifications:

• Professional experience as a Behavior Specialist within K-12 environments
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based behavioral interventions and assessment tools
• Effective communication skills to work with educators, students, and families
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
• Relevant certification or licensure in behavior analysis or special education is preferred
