Step into a pivotal role supporting students and staff across K-12 settings as a full-time Behavior Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite position, located near Philadelphia, offers the chance to make a real difference in special education and autism support classrooms. With a contract running from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, you’ll work 35 hours per week in a vibrant, diverse educational community.
Responsibilities for this opportunity include:
- Training new staff on best instructional practices for students with Autism
- Conducting refresher and specialized behavior plan trainings for all staff
- Modeling and supporting the implementation of evidence-based practices within classrooms
- Assisting in establishing Verbal Repertoires (VRs) and individualized student programs
- Facilitating IEP, BIP, and related documentation reviews for building staff
- Providing ongoing coaching and feedback to maintain high-fidelity implementation
- Collaborating with regional consultants to align with tiered intervention standards
- Overseeing the transfer of skills to ensure consistency across autism support rooms
- Being present, accessible, and an expert resource as the academic year launches
We’re seeking applicants who have:
- Valid Pennsylvania educator certification in Special Education or related area
- A strong background in evidence-based instructional approaches for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Proven experience within autism support or special education settings
- Ability to complete all required PA clearances
- Reliable transportation for commuting within the district
- Previous experience in urban schools and comfort with the local district environment
- Availability to work onsite between 7:15AM-4PM, without schedule accommodations
