Behavior Specialist in School Setting | Salem, New Hampshire

Make a meaningful impact as a Behavior Specialist and ABA Therapist supporting students in a school environment near Salem, NH. This contract role focuses on providing targeted, part-time support for the 2026-2027 academic year. You'll play a crucial part at a high school, assisting a student who requires consistent, compassionate guidance each school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Behavior Technician or ABA Therapist in a school setting
• Background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Ability to provide patient, one-on-one behavioral support to students
• Comfort and physical ability to push a wheelchair (student is not ambulatory, and the chair is non-motorized)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with school staff and team members
• Professionalism, dependability, and a passion for helping students thrive

Core Responsibilities:

• Support a high school student with daily behavioral needs for approximately 3 hours each morning
• Collaborate with educators, school staff, and therapists to implement and monitor ABA interventions
• Track student progress and adjust strategies as needed in response to individual needs
• Participate in meetings and communicate regularly with the educational team
• Ensure the safety and comfort of the student throughout the day, including assisting with wheelchair mobility

Role Details:

• Contract position beginning as soon as possible through June 2027
• Part-time, 15 hours per week: 8:30am–11:30am Monday-Friday (approximate)
