An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Behavior Specialist to support K-12 students in a dynamic, onsite school setting near Upper Darby, PA. This full-time, contract role spans the entire 2026-2027 school year (August 24, 2026 - June 10, 2027), with a 35-hour work week dedicated to empowering staff and students alike in autism support environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, in-person training for new and returning staff on instructional practices and individualized behavior plans for students with Autism.
- Lead refresher sessions and facilitate review of IEPs, BIPs, and district documentation.
- Model and reinforce evidence-based strategies within classrooms through direct student engagement and live coaching.
- Collaborate with PaTTAN consultants to align practices with PAI Tiered Implementation Inventory.
- Help build Verbal Repertoires (VRs) for students and assist teams with assessment, scheduling, and program logistics.
- Offer skill transfer support to expand effective practices from anchor classrooms to other autism support settings.
- Monitor training efficacy, provide actionable feedback, and ensure program fidelity across the district.
- Maintain a strong, accessible onsite presence, especially during the critical back-to-school period.
- Serve as a key resource to faculty, students, administrators, and consulting partners throughout the academic year.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania educator certification in Special Education or a closely related field.
- Expertise in evidence-based autism instructional practices and experience in K-12 autism support settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in an urban district.
- Ability to consistently work onsite, between 7:15AM and 4PM—schedule flexibility is not available.
- Prior experience with in-vivo coaching, training staff, and working with diverse teams.
- Reliable transportation and up-to-date PA clearances required.
