Soliant is hiring several school-based Behavior Specialist Consultants near Wilmington, Delaware to support students, educators, and school teams in addressing behavioral, social-emotional, and classroom challenges within the school setting. The Behavior Specialist Consultant will provide behavioral assessment, consultation, intervention planning, staff coaching, and progress monitoring. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, special education professionals, school psychologists, counselors, families, and related-service providers to develop effective, individualized supports that promote student success. If you are passionate about helping students succeed and enjoy empowering school teams with effective behavioral strategies, we encourage you to apply. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct behavioral observations and assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and other individualized behavioral supports.
  • Analyze behavioral data to identify patterns, determine intervention effectiveness, and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Provide consultation and coaching to teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and school-based teams.
  • Model evidence-based positive behavior support and classroom-management strategies.
  • Support students in developing self-regulation, coping, communication, social, and replacement skills.
  • Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and student-support meetings as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with families and school personnel to promote consistency across settings.
  • Assist schools with proactive behavior-support systems, crisis prevention, and de-escalation strategies.
  • Provide professional development and training related to student behavior and positive behavioral interventions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate student progress and recommendations clearly.
  • Protect student confidentiality and follow applicable federal, state, and school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise and knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, behavior analysis, special education, social work, counseling, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with students with behavioral, emotional, developmental, or learning needs.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral interventions and positive behavior support.
  • Experience with behavioral data collection, observation, and intervention planning.
  • Strong communication, consultation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with FBAs, BIPs, PBIS, MTSS, or similar frameworks preferred.
  • BCBA, behavior analyst, school psychologist, special education, or related credentials are welcome and may be preferred depending on assignment.
