School Nurse Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) | Jersey City, New Jersey

Start an enriching, hands-on role supporting student success in a dynamic school environment. This is a full-time, contract opportunity for a Certified Nurse Assistant eager to make a meaningful impact. The assignment runs from now through June 19, 2026, with a consistent schedule of 30–31 hours per week, all onsite.

You’ll work closely with an 18-year-old male student, providing essential care and a steady, encouraging presence throughout the school day. Your background as a CNA will be crucial in delivering both direct physical support and contributing to a positive learning environment.

What you’ll need to excel in this role:

• Current and valid CNA certification
• Experience working as a Certified Nurse Assistant (especially in school or pediatric settings is a plus)
• Ability to lift, transfer, and push a wheelchair with confidence and care
• Experience with diapering and feeding assistance
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educational staff
• An approachable, compassionate attitude

Key responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 care for an 18-year-old student with physical and academic support needs
• Assist with wheelchair mobility, lifting, transferring, and hygiene, including diaper changes
• Offer feeding support as needed
• Participate in assisting with classroom activities and light academic instruction under teacher direction
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that enhances student participation in daily school life
