In this role, you'll work 1:1 with a high school student who has a heart condition, ensuring safety and offering compassionate support during the school day. Your healthcare expertise and attentive presence will provide peace of mind to both student and staff.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification required
- Previous experience as a CNA, preferably in pediatric or school settings
- Understanding of and ability to monitor heart conditions in young people
- Comfortable working closely with students in a 1:1 capacity
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with school staff, healthcare providers, and families
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to students’ diverse needs
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care to the assigned high school student throughout the school day
- Monitor and report on student’s health status, specifically regarding heart condition
- Administer basic care and provide support for daily activities as needed
- Assist with mobility, nutrition, and medication reminders or administration if required
- Maintain confidentiality and detailed accurate health records
- Collaborate with teachers and school health personnel to promote a safe, inclusive environment

Compensation for this position ranges from $16.23 to $30.33. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
