Your expertise as a CNA will play a crucial role in facilitating this student’s academic and social success. You’ll work closely with school professionals and the student’s care team, delivering attentive and responsive support tailored to specialized medical needs.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active CNA certification with current credentials
  • Prior experience working in pediatric, school, or similar settings strongly desired
  • Strong knowledge of basic and emergency medical care, particularly related to cardiac conditions
  • Adept at monitoring vital signs, administering care plans, and recognizing health emergencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and reliable during varying situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent, compassionate 1:1 support for a high school student, following individualized healthcare plans
  • Monitor the student’s health and respond proactively to any signs of distress or medical needs
  • Assist with daily living tasks as needed, ensuring a dignified and supportive environment
  • Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and the student’s healthcare team to align care and communication
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of all care provided
  • Foster a positive relationship with the student to encourage participation in school activities
