Qualifications:
- Current CNA license and certification required
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively during medical situations
- Adaptability, reliability, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
- Experience supporting individuals with cardiac or chronic conditions preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one care, monitoring the student’s medical needs and responding promptly to concerns
- Administer daily care, support mobility, and assist with activities as directed by the student’s care plan
- Communicate appropriately with healthcare professionals, school staff, and family members
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any daily observations
- Support the student’s integration into classroom and school activities while prioritizing health and safety
- Uphold confidentiality and follow school guidelines and health protocols
