This contract position offers up to 40 hours per week, allowing you to make a broad impact within a supportive school community. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you’ll collaborate closely with district Occupational Therapists, helping to implement individualized plans that foster student growth and independence.
In this itinerant position, you’ll work in a variety of settings—rotating among up to five school sites—where your adaptability and passion for helping children will shine. Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience or strong interest in pediatric/school-based settings
- Ability to manage a mobile caseload and travel between sites as needed
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with supervising OTs and school staff
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a passion for supporting student learning
- Familiarity with K-8 interventions and special education processes is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing OT interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to support goals in fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Document student progress and communicate regularly with supervising therapists and school teams
- Adapt intervention strategies to meet individual student needs across multiple campuses
