Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Albuquerque, NM

The upcoming assignment spans the full academic year, beginning August 3, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027. Your workweek will be structured Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours, with daily hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active COTA license in the state of New Mexico (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• At least one year of experience in school-based pediatric occupational therapy preferred
• Proficient in adapting OT techniques for both younger elementary and older high school students
• Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable traveling between school buildings as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions to students from PreK through 12th grade
• Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in the educational environment
• Work closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff to promote student independence and participation
• Assist in evaluations, documentation, and progress monitoring to ensure effective therapy outcomes
