Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current COTA certification and valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with occupational therapists, educational staff, families, and students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and implementing individualized treatment plans for students
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions in group and one-on-one settings
  • Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with school guidelines
  • Adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs and IEP goals
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educational professionals and parents to support student success
