Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- Current state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- NBCOT certification
- Minimum of one year of recent professional experience, ideally in a school or pediatric environment
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Commitment to continued education and professional development in accordance with state and district guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Facilitate therapeutic activities to help students achieve educational and developmental objectives
- Monitor, track, and document student progress, adjusting interventions in partnership with the OT as needed
- Collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and parents to address students’ needs
- Maintain compliance with documentation, regulatory, and district-specific requirements
- Engage in ongoing learning and development to remain current with occupational therapy practices
