Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Assignment Dates: ASAP – End of January

Position Type:

  • Full-Time: 35 hours/week (5 days)

  • Part-Time: 21 hours/week (3 days)

Schedule:

  • Daily Start Time: 7:25 AM

  • Daily End Time: 2:25 PM

Caseload: Approximately 35 students
Population: Preschool through Grade 8


Position Overview

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our supportive school team. This position serves a diverse student population from preschool through 8th grade, helping students develop and strengthen skills that support academic and functional success in the school environment.


Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).

  • Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals for students.

  • Support fine motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation skill development.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to promote student independence and participation.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines.


Qualifications

  • Required: New Hampshire licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

  • Preferred: Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
