Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida COTA license—required
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel between school locations within Hendry County as assigned
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families
- Adaptability to manage changing schedules and priorities during the academic year
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K–12 students under the supervision of an OTR, following IEP goals
- Travel to assigned schools throughout the county to provide care and support
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings with the education team
- Assist in creating and adapting classroom materials and environments to support student participation and independence
- Participate in team meetings, contribute insights, and collaborate in multidisciplinary planning
- Support teachers in implementing strategies to enhance student engagement and skill development in the classroom
