This full-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) contract role offers variety and impact, serving students from Pre-K through transition age (up to 22) across multiple schools. In this exclusively on-site role, you’ll play an integral part in helping students gain independence and achieve their goals while honing your own expertise in school-based practice. Expect a varied schedule as your hours and school assignments may shift, providing engaging experiences in elementary, middle, and high school settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Valid educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Successful completion of required background and fingerprinting checks
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions in adherence with IEP goals
- Work seamlessly with occupational therapists, teachers, and other staff
- Support student participation in academic and daily living activities throughout the school day
- Adapt strategies to meet diverse abilities and learning styles
- Organize documentation for evaluations and progress reports
