Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity assisting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the greater Bangor, ME area. Qualifications:

  • Valid COTA license in the state of Maine (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Prior experience in school settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to implement individualized student interventions under OT supervision
  • Commitment to student-centered practices and confidentiality

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Work side-by-side with occupational therapists, teachers, and special education teams to foster an inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to assessments, progress monitoring, and goal setting
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student care plans
  • Create and adapt materials or strategies to address students’ unique developmental needs
