Your assignment begins on August 27 and will continue until the district secures a direct hire, ensuring continuity of care and opportunity for impactful student interactions. The position runs Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a consistent work schedule and the chance to foster ongoing relationships with students and school staff.
What We’re Looking For:
- National certification and current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience providing COTA services in a school setting is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to support and implement Occupational Therapist treatment plans
- Organizational skills to maintain documentation and schedules effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability within a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct treatment and support to students under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to help students achieve educational goals
- Assist with evaluations and develop progress reports
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to ensure integrated support
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
- Adapt strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student population
