Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to a variety of age groups, ranging from kindergarten to high school
• Passion for helping children and adolescents develop life and academic skills
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students as prescribed in IEPs
• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to team-based reports
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation in school activities
• Adapt therapy activities to meet the individual needs and goals of each student
• Support generalization of skills across classroom and school environments
