Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Blue Springs, MO

This role is designed for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eager to make an impact in school-based practice, collaborating alongside educators and therapists to foster student development and independence.

Beginning August 25th and ideally concluding December 18th, you’ll cover a temporary leave with the possibility of extending through the full school year, which ends May 28th. Your schedule will include time at elementary, middle, and high schools, offering variety and a chance to serve a broad range of students.

What we’re looking for:

• Current Missouri COTA license required
• Experience in school settings preferred; new graduates considered if passionate about pediatric therapy
• Strong time management and organizational skills, as you will create your own schedule with initial support
• Collaborative spirit to work effectively with diverse teams
• Commitment to serving every student assigned on a weekly basis

Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering therapy services to a direct caseload of approximately 32 students (around 800 minutes a week)
• Coordinating with teaching staff and other therapists to support students’ IEP goals and classroom participation
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and district requirements
• Serving students across multiple assigned campuses, ensuring comprehensive weekly coverage
