Key Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current certification as a COTA
• Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain
• Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Passion for helping children achieve their goals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist the supervising Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy services to students with diverse needs
• Implement therapeutic interventions and adapt activities to meet individual student goals
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP planning
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create supportive learning environments
• Provide guidance to students on adaptive strategies that foster independence
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions
