Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of IEPs, documentation compliance, and school-based therapeutic strategies
  • Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, under the supervision of an OT
  • Support students in achieving their academic and functional goals in accordance with IEPs
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records to meet school and state requirements
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective interventions
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of individualized student plans
  • Adapt activities and recommendations to best meet the diverse needs of the school population
