Step into an impactful role supporting students across multiple sites as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic educational setting near Cambridge, MA. This contract position runs from September 2nd through June 15th, engaging with a diverse K–12 student population. With a four-day workweek, you’ll collaborate closely with therapists and educators to deliver quality therapeutic interventions that empower students to reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications:

  • Completed a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program and hold current licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Previous experience in school-based settings is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable supporting students at a variety of grade levels across multiple schools.
  • Proficient in implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K–12 students as outlined in IEPs.
  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists to deliver interventions aimed at enhancing students’ academic access and functional independence.
  • Document progress, maintain appropriate records, and participate in team meetings with educators and families.
  • Support students in developing motor skills, self-care routines, and sensory processing strategies.
  • Travel between assigned sites to ensure consistent and comprehensive support services.
