Qualifications:

  • Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Minimum of one year of recent occupational therapy assistant experience, preferably in school or pediatric settings
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and state/district-mandated continuing education credits

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions and activities under the guidance of a licensed OT
  • Support students’ educational and developmental objectives through individualized, evidence-based practice
  • Track and document progress, sharing updates and insights with the OT for collaborative treatment planning
  • Engage with educators, administrators, and families to help meet students’ unique needs
  • Maintain thorough records compliant with state and district standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional growth opportunities to keep skills sharp
