Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active COTA license in Washington State (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued, but strong new graduates will also be considered
• Understanding of IEP processes and familiarity with pediatric therapy approaches
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for fostering independence and participation in daily school activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Support students in achieving individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Implement adaptive strategies to promote functional skills in classrooms
• Track student progress through data collection and thorough documentation
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as appropriate
• Educate staff and families on accommodations and assistive devices for students
• Adapt and modify classroom materials to enhance student accessibility and success
