Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current certification as a COTA
  • Valid state license (or eligibility to obtain upon hiring)
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other therapists, educators, and families
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized student treatment plans
  • Monitor and document student progress, reporting to the supervising OT
  • Adapt therapy activities and materials for optimal student participation and success
  • Engage with teachers and staff to support integration of therapeutic strategies in the classroom
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute insight on student progress and goals as needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with school and district policies
