Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active COTA certification and licensure in Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Capable of adapting activities to meet students’ diverse needs
- Commitment to supporting individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy interventions designed by an Occupational Therapist
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, supporting skills in fine motor, self-care, and sensory processing
- Document session notes and student progress accurately and timely
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success
- Support the integration of therapeutic strategies into classroom routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student care plans as needed
