Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Active COTA certification and licensure in Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Capable of adapting activities to meet students’ diverse needs
  • Commitment to supporting individualized education plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy interventions designed by an Occupational Therapist
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, supporting skills in fine motor, self-care, and sensory processing
  • Document session notes and student progress accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success
  • Support the integration of therapeutic strategies into classroom routines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student care plans as needed
