Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students across Pre K–12th grade by providing vital occupational therapy assistance in a school-based setting. This contract role begins in September 2026 and runs through June 2027. You'll play a key part as a traveling Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), floating between campuses as determined by upcoming caseload needs. The schedule is approximately 29 hours per week, with potential to adjust to 30 hours based on your preferences.
Ideal candidates bring experience working as a COTA in school environments, especially with diverse student populations. While specific caseload numbers are being finalized, adaptability and a collaborative mindset are essential as you support students with varying needs across different age groups.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid COTA license and credentials required
- Previous work in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to travel between assigned school sites as scheduled
- Comfortable supporting students from Pre K to 12th grade
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility as caseload and weekly hours are subject to slight adjustments
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists and educators to implement student care plans
- Deliver direct support to students, helping meet individualized educational and therapy goals
- Accurately document session progress and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Adapt approach as you serve different sites and age groups, ensuring continuity of care
