This contract position offers steady, Monday through Friday hours—30 hours each week—providing you with both structure and flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.
In this role, you’ll deliver essential occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. You'll be empowered to help each child reach their highest level of independence and participation within the school environment, while working under the guidance of a virtual Occupational Therapist supervisor.
Key Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification with eligibility to practice in school settings.
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably across a broad age range (K-12).
- Familiarity with implementing IEP goals and supporting student progress.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling productive partnerships with teachers, families, and support staff.
- Ability to adapt interventions and strategies for various learning and developmental needs.
- Confidence in utilizing technology for supervision and documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Carry out individualized and group OT interventions in the school setting.
- Implement treatment plans designed by an OT and adjust activities as needed for student engagement and success.
- Track student progress, documenting goals, responses, and session notes accurately.
- Work collaboratively with educators to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate findings to stakeholders as appropriate.
- Engage in virtual supervision sessions and seek guidance as needed.
