Make a difference supporting student success as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school environment. This full-time contract role centers on providing occupational therapy services to children and adolescents, helping them develop essential academic and life skills. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team of therapists, special educators, and support professionals, using your expertise to positively impact each student's educational journey.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current certification as a COTA
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Passion for supporting students’ functional independence and participation in classroom activities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions in both individual and group settings as prescribed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to facilitate student success within the classroom environment
  • Document progress, maintain records, and participate in team meetings and parent conferences as required
  • Support adaptive equipment use, sensory needs, and classroom modifications
  • Encourage student independence and help cultivate practical skills for school and daily life

This contract role is full-time and offers competitive hourly compensation between $35 and $45, reflective of your experience and expertise.
