Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a COTA
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds
- Passion for supporting students’ functional independence and participation in classroom activities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions in both individual and group settings as prescribed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to facilitate student success within the classroom environment
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in team meetings and parent conferences as required
- Support adaptive equipment use, sensory needs, and classroom modifications
- Encourage student independence and help cultivate practical skills for school and daily life
This contract role is full-time and offers competitive hourly compensation between $35 and $45, reflective of your experience and expertise.
