Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active COTA certification/license in Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Adaptability and a commitment to student success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic services under the supervision and guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to support their fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
  • Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school and legal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Assist in designing and modifying school environments and materials to support student access and participation
  • Support students’ transition and generalization of skills throughout their day
