Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current COTA licensure in Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
• Understanding of pediatric occupational therapy interventions
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families
• Adaptable, positive attitude and a passion for supporting students of varying abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy plans developed by supervising Occupational Therapist to help students reach IEP goals
• Assist in administering assessments and collecting data to track student progress
• Collaborate with staff and participate in meetings to ensure students’ needs are met
• Support classroom modifications and accommodations to enhance student participation
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
• Communicate with families and caregivers as needed to reinforce therapy techniques at home
