Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active Tennessee COTA license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Previous experience within school settings preferred, but open to strong clinical backgrounds
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy techniques
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt plans to individual student goals and learning styles
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy plans as directed by licensed Occupational Therapists
- Support students’ participation in daily classroom activities, fine motor skills, and self-care
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes
- Work closely with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary partners to ensure effective carryover of strategies
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student care planning as required
- Remain up-to-date with state and federal school therapy regulations
