Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Virginia
  • Proven experience as a COTA, with previous exposure to pediatric and/or school-based settings
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to follow individualized education plans and document student progress
  • Adaptability and creativity in supporting students with diverse needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy sessions to a small group of students, following established goals
  • Implement activities to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-help abilities
  • Work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to carry out treatment strategies
  • Maintain accurate student records and participate in team meetings as needed
  • Interact professionally with school staff and contribute to a positive learning environment

With a part-time schedule of 4 hours per week, you’ll have the chance to make a significant impact while enjoying flexibility. The compensation for this contract position is $35–$42 per hour, based on your education and years of experience.
