A contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support two charter schools in the Aurora area. This position offers approximately 28 hours per week, ideal for professionals seeking a part-time school setting within a dynamic and supportive educational environment.

Location:

  • Aurora, Colorado

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy assistance to students under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to develop individualized plans and interventions tailored to student needs.
  • Conduct evaluations and implement therapeutic activities aimed at enhancing students' functional performance in school-related tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in meetings regarding student development and therapy goals.
  • Support the integration of therapeutic strategies within the classroom environment to promote student success.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and other therapists.
  • Knowledge of pediatric therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently within the school setting.
