Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ growth and independence in an engaging school environment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). In this contract role, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of educators and therapists, providing vital occupational therapy services to help students succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience in a school setting is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Compassion for working with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
  • Ability to adapt creative interventions for a wide range of abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside an Occupational Therapist to deliver direct and consultative OT services to students
  • Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assist in assessments, data collection, and progress monitoring
  • Promote students’ fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and functional participation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and detailed records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and school teams regarding student progress
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
