Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Corning, CA

Desired Qualifications:

• Current COTA certification and state license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous pediatric or school-based COTA experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work with diverse student populations in K-12 settings
• Competence in administering therapeutic interventions, following IEP goals, and maintaining accurate records
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative spirit, flexibility, and problem-solving mindset
• Recent graduates or those new to school-based settings are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OTR/L for K-12 students
• Assist in conducting assessments, documenting student progress, and supporting the IEP process
• Implement individualized activities designed to enhance students’ participation, motor skills, and independence within academic and social settings
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support students’ overall development
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
• Adapt therapy approaches to suit varying abilities and learning needs
