Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time, contract position spanning the entire school year. Desired Qualifications:
- Current COTA certification and state license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous pediatric or school-based COTA experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work with diverse student populations in K-12 settings
- Competence in administering therapeutic interventions, following IEP goals, and maintaining accurate records
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Collaborative spirit, flexibility, and problem-solving mindset
- Recent graduates or those new to school-based settings are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OTR/L for K-12 students
- Assist in conducting assessments, documenting student progress, and supporting the IEP process
- Implement individualized activities designed to enhance students’ participation, motor skills, and independence within academic and social settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support students’ overall development
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
- Adapt therapy approaches to suit varying abilities and learning needs
