School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Cottonwood, California

Step into an engaging, full-time contract role supporting K-8 students for the full school year. This opportunity allows you to collaborate with educators and help make a real impact as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school setting. You’ll work onsite, serving a diverse caseload of 55 students and playing a vital role in their developmental journey.

Desired Experience or Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience or interest in working with school-aged children (K-8)
• Understanding of school-based therapy practices and related educational interventions
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, educators, and families
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and positive therapeutic environment

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising occupational therapists to address sensory, fine motor, and daily living skill deficits
• Track student progress, documenting session notes, and communicating outcomes to the educational team
• Provide in-class and pull-out interventions tailored to each student’s needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input toward goal-setting and modification
• Offer recommendations to teachers and staff to support student success in the classroom environment
• Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
