School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Cottonwood, California

As a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll help create an inclusive atmosphere for K-12 learners, providing valuable therapeutic services throughout the academic year.

This contract position starts as soon as possible and continues until the conclusion of the current school year. Working closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team, you'll champion students’ functional independence in both the classroom and beyond.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Valid state COTA license (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
• Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to the unique needs of students across all grade levels (K-12)

Responsibilities:

• Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions as directed by a licensed OT
• Support students’ development of sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skills to enhance their participation in school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the educational environment
• Document progress and communicate results to supervising therapist, educational staff, and families
• Assist with assessments and contribute to educational planning for students
