Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Just across the NC border and only 1.5 hours south of Roanoke, this opportunity is perfect for those seeking a vibrant community within easy reach of surrounding regions.

Starting ASAP and extending through the end of the school year, you'll work a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) serving a diverse K-12 caseload. Collaborate daily with two experienced virtual OTs to provide essential therapy and promote student success within the school setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid COTA license required.
  • Previous experience working with a school population preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with onsite staff and virtual OTs.
  • Compassion, adaptability, and a drive to support student growth.
  • Comfort with technology to manage virtual elements of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized occupational therapy plans under supervision of licensed OTs.
  • Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional task adaptations.
  • Document student progress and actively participate in IEP meetings as needed.
  • Partner with teachers and families to enhance student engagement and independence.
  • Support a positive learning environment throughout campuses.
