Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active COTA certification in California
  • Experience working with children or adolescents, especially within a school or pediatric setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, parents, and educators
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and create a positive therapeutic environment
  • Organizational skills for timely documentation and session planning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support licensed Occupational Therapists in providing therapy to students within the school environment
  • Implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on the development of fine motor, visual-motor, and daily living skills
  • Track student progress and adapt activities to meet evolving needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
  • Engage with teachers and families to promote carryover of strategies and encourage student independence in the classroom
