Step into a dynamic school environment as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant supporting a diverse student population from Pre-K to transition age (up to 22 years). Engage in meaningful work across elementary, middle, and high school campuses, delivering impactful occupational therapy services as part of a professional and collaborative educational team.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active clinical license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Previous experience in school settings is highly preferred
  • Comfortable working in an itinerant capacity, traveling between multiple school sites
  • Must be able to complete time-sensitive fingerprinting and credentialing requirements
  • Committed to supporting students’ growth and participation in school activities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions according to IEPs for a variable caseload spanning ages Pre-K through transition years
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, occupational therapists, and other support professionals to facilitate student engagement and success
  • Document sessions, maintain progress records, and communicate regularly with families and educators
  • Travel between different campuses as assigned, adapting to different school schedules and environments
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and district-wide initiatives for student support
