Embark on an exciting opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across five schools within a dynamic district near Discovery Bay, CA. This full-time, contract role spans the 2026-2027 school year, offering a rewarding chance to provide services to a diverse PreK-8th grade caseload. Collaborate closely with an Occupational Therapist to make a lasting impact in students’ educational journeys.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
  • Recent experience working in schools or with pediatric populations
  • Understanding of IEP process and documentation standards
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate across multiple sites
  • Team-oriented mindset with a passion for supporting children of varying abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of an OT
  • Provide interventions to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills in a school setting
  • Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
  • Assist in the development and execution of student treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and participation
  • Contribute to in-service trainings and team meetings as required

This position offers a consistent 40-hour workweek from July 30, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and involves travelling between five school sites throughout the district. The caseload, approximately 65 students, is shared with an Occupational Therapist, fostering a collaborative care environment.
