Key Skills and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program required
  • Current and active COTA certification
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Prior experience working with children or within an educational or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication and collaborative abilities
  • Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and work independently under supervision of an OTR

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Assist students in developing or strengthening functional skills, such as fine motor coordination, self-care, and adaptive techniques
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation of services provided and student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights and recommendations
