Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Capacity to adapt to the diverse needs of middle school students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OTR
  • Support the development of students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills crucial for success in the classroom
  • Track student progress and contribute to documentation and reporting
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
  • Communicate clearly with educators and parents regarding student goals and progress
  • Maintain compliance with school district and state regulations
