An exciting opportunity awaits for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the Bethlehem, PA area, working with an elementary school caseload. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives and educational outcomes. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated therapy team and educators, supporting children in grades K-5 in reaching their developmental and academic goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active and current Pennsylvania state COTA license
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with children, staff, and parents
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is a plus
- Commitment to promoting independence and participation in school activities
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to elementary students according to their IEPs
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in planning, implementing, and documenting therapy interventions
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom
- Support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation
Schedule & Assignment Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Elementary grade caseload
- Start as soon as possible, with assignment continuing through the end of the school year
