School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Durham, New Hampshire

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience providing occupational therapy services within a K-12 or adolescent-focused school environment
• Ability to establish rapport with teenage students and adapt strategies to meet individualized needs
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and other support staff
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver hourly occupational therapy sessions to a 15-year-old student in accordance with the student's individualized education plan (IEP)
• Implement therapeutic interventions and adjust them as necessary to support the student’s progress toward set goals
• Monitor, assess, and document the student’s response to therapy for ongoing evaluation
• Consult with school staff and parents regarding strategies to maximize the student’s independence and success
