Bring your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students’ growth and potential in a vibrant South Carolina school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity provides the chance to make a meaningful impact working with a manageable caseload and collaborating with a dedicated OTR supervisor.

Your primary location and school assignments will be confirmed, with anticipated sites in the Simpsonville and/or Greer area. This part-time schedule covers two days per week (7.5 hours per day), allowing excellent work-life balance while making a difference in students' lives.

Qualifications & Preferred Background:

  • Current South Carolina COTA license required
  • Experience in school and/or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively engage elementary and middle school students
  • Skilled in delivering occupational therapy interventions both individually and in small group settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to 8-10 students per day during 30-minute sessions (approx. 5 hours/day direct service)
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized student therapy plans in a school environment
  • Document student progress, participate in pre/post-planning days, and communicate regularly with classroom staff
  • Work closely under the supervision of an experienced OTR provided by the district
  • Contribute insight and support during team meetings to optimize student outcomes

The academic calendar runs from August 4th, 2026, through May 27th, 2027, offering consistency and opportunities for pre- and post-planning.
