Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners in the Bethlehem, PA area as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)! This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on elementary students, providing dedicated support for their developmental and educational needs. You’ll work within a collaborative school environment, promoting independence and success for your caseload.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid Pennsylvania state license as a COTA
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising Occupational Therapists and other team members

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support students’ fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and classroom participation
  • Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Accurately document student progress and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input regarding student needs and goals
  • Communicate with educators, parents, and staff to ensure coordinated support for student growth
  • Adapt interventions to be engaging and accessible for elementary-aged learners

This full-time, 35-hour-per-week contract role will start as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year.
