Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) serving students in a school-based setting near El Mirage, AZ. This role begins July 30, 2026, and extends through May 20, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children throughout the academic year.

Work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver interventions and support, helping a caseload of 35–40 students achieve their goals. You’ll play a vital part in promoting functional independence and participation within an educational environment.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills essential for teaming with educators and families
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet a variety of student needs and abilities
  • Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
  • Passion for facilitating student growth and inclusion

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as developed by OT
  • Work alongside classroom teachers and special education staff to integrate therapy goals
  • Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills needed for classroom success
  • Track student progress and provide detailed feedback for IEP documentation
  • Foster a supportive, encouraging environment for all students on your caseload
  • Attend meetings and contribute to student planning as requested
